ABOUT ME
I am AMAB, non binary, and yes, very gay. I try to walk with care and respect for the sacred beauty of these places I get to inhabit as I travel on Earth. I am from the area of the world we are currently referring to as the Pacific Northwest. I love the land here. I am interested in ecological restoration, and restorative forestry practices and use a lot of my time focusing of these arts.
Learning about traditional (indigenous) ecological knowledge (T.E.K.) based permaculture has been such a revelation to me as a child of white settler colonialism. The way I was taught was true and what i see before me and have been taught shown by my teachers and elders is incongruent. The situation we are all engaged in at this juncture in time is one of mainly ecocidal life ways. There are other ways. I am a guest here in the sacred lands of the native people and non human beings of this sacred place. The land I dwell upon is stolen land.
I often find myself drawn to the Colombia, Klamath, and Great Basin watersheds. I feel a tenderness for the landscapes of so called Oregon, Southern Washington, Northern California, and Northern Nevada.
I use my time here gathering, and planting back the seeds of native foods. Learning tending practices, ancestral earth based skills, and experiencing natural systems is a huge part of the way I access, approach, and appreciate the beautiful healing world I am of and get to be in.
My family is of mixed mostly European white settler decent. My recent ancestors have been in so called occupied Oregon for several generations. I grew up mostly on a small island in the San Juans in so called Washington state traditionally tended and occupied by the Lhaq’temish (Lummi), S’Klallam, and Samish Nations. Hawai’i is where I first actualized the magic of massage into a professional private practice. I have had the privilege to be influenced by the culture of the Hawai’ian people and live on the occupied sovereign islands of Hawai’i.
In my travels I have studied with many teachers around the world. Ive had the please to include local wonders like Hazel Ward and Karen Taylor of Siskiyou Permaculture, Rv. Teri Diane Ciacchi of the Living Love Revolution, Finisia Medrano, Dr. Betty Martin, Jaiya, Joseph Kramer, The Body Electric School, T4GM Neo-Tantra, and countless others along my path.
I am an artist. I am a tender of land. I use the experience of life to shapeshift and gain knowledge and grow in power and magick to aid in this community of change. I work with fiber, stone, bone, and hide. I adore ceramic clay arts. The mediums of wood, metal, and various natural and synthetic materials are such a delicious playground of creativity. I have an interest in all forms of art, dance, creative movement, ritual theater, design, and beauty in general. I have been a part of many so called “radical” subcultures of the modern gay and queer counter cultural movements in the western so called “united states” of this sacred Turtle Island…home.
